DISCOVERING AND PRESERVING YOUR HISTORY
The aim of the Mount Gambier History Group Inc. is to locate, preserve and promote the built heritage, local history and family history of Mount Gambier and surrounding districts.
When and where do we meet:
Mount Gambier History Group meet at Reidy Park Centre, O'Halloran Terrace, Mount Gambier.
The History Room is open for research Tuesdays between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm. We close mid-December and all of January. We start again in the second week of term 1 each year.
We will also open by appointment.
Visitors and new members welcome.
RESEARCH REQUESTS. Please note research requests can still be forwarded. However all researchers are on a Christmas/New Years break and no further research will be undertaken until February 2017.
Research is conducted by experienced local and family history researchers.
Research jobs are charged at an hourly rate with an initial minimum charge of $20.00. Clients will be advised in advance should the estimated costs exceed this minimum. Research jobs exceeding one hour are charged at $20.00 for the first hour and $15.00 per hour thereafter.
Photocopying and postage will be additional to the research fee.
Enquiries may be made by email and information found will be sent to you upon receipt of the fee.
Payment may be made by direct bank deposit, cheque or cash.
Provide as much information as you have already found so that we are not duplicating the research you have already completed.
